I set up lots of new websites, as a matter of fact you’re looking at one of them right now, and because I am 100% comfortable with the software, the vast majority of them are set up as Wordpress blogs. We’re creatures of habit and we instinctively turn to the things that come more easily to us. Wordpress is the software most people prefer and it’s the one I have adopted.
But when I was setting up my last site and I headed into the Fantastico section of the cpanel area, I couldn’t help but notice another couple of software names listed along with Wordpress. In the past my mind simply ignored Drupal and Joomla but this time they caught my attention. I know they’re open source CMS software packages and would help me set up an exciting community based website with templates and features that would give me a site that had the potential to look devastatingly handsome.
At least, that was the gist of what the Joomla home page was getting at.
Unfortunately I don’t have the time nor the patience to learn how to properly use another type of open source software. That’s where sites like Joomla Bear come in handy with a wealth of Joomla knowledge, experience and Joomla templates.
If you need help with Joomla and want to create a site with great specialist features, Joomla may be the software to use. As a free open source piece of software the price is definitely right.
